Angels Tickets, Get Your Angels Tickets

Single-game tickets went on sale today. Did you buy any?

On this beautiful March day, it smells like baseball in the air.

That’s because today is the first day to buy single-game tickets for the Angels and that other team farther north. I think they wear blue.

Ticket sales began at 9 a.m. online at  Angels.com, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, at Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, including La Curaco and  select Walmart stores, and the Angel Stadium Ticket Office.

There is a maximum purchase limit of 12 tickets per person per game. Group orders of 25 or more per game will be referred to a group sales representative.

The Angels will play their home opener April 6 against the Kansas City Royals.

As far as that “other” team, the Dodgers are celebrating 50 years in Chavez Ravine. The celebration, however, may be muted by the fact that 2011 attendance was at its lowest for a non-strike season since 1992.

Ouch.

To bolster enthusiasm, the team responded with across-the-board ticket price reductions, including lowering the cost of infield box seats $20 to $80 for most games while top deck prices, the lowest in the stadium, were cut $2 to $10.
