Curran John Rushes Warriors Past Brethren Christian, 60-39

Senior running back rewrites school record book for second consecutive week as Saddleback Valley Christian runs its record to 3-0 with Friday's victory at JSerra High.

Curran John ran for a school-record 376 yards and four touchdowns to help Saddleback Valley Christian defeat visiting Brethren Christian, 60-39, in a nonleague football game Friday night at JSerra High.

The Warriors (3-0) held a slim 28-26 lead at halftime but poured it on in the second half, outscoring the Minutemen (2-2), 32-13.

John broke his own record, se the previous week, behind a stout offensive line,led by junior Jon Harvey (6-5, 250).

Junior quarterback Brandon Camarillo-Towles completed 14 of 17 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns, which went to senior receiver Ryan Bialobreski, who finished with 195 yards in receptions.
