As many as 10,000 participants from beginners to elite runners are expected to race along the beach, cliffs and coves of Dana Point Thanksgiving morning for the 34th Annual Turkey Trot.
The 5K and 10K races are hosted by the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce to benefit the city's 5th Marine Regiment and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
Registration costs vary per race from $12 for kids to $55 for adults through Nov. 21 and $20 to $60 thereafter. Enter online at turkeytrot.com/register or in person from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Dana Point Habor parking lot or at 6 a.m. Nov. 24 in the parking lot on the northwest corner of Golden Lantern and Dana Point Harbor Drive.
