Hartigan Back as Athletic Director for JSerra

The football coach becomes the head honcho of all sports -- again.

JSerra Catholic High School’s head football coach has just been named the permanent athletic director for the San Juan Capistrano-based private school – again.

Jim Hartigan has been serving as interim athletic director since February, after Dave Lawn left. He also served as AD before Lawn arrived.

A member of the American Football Association, Hartigan brings more than 30 years of leadership to his new role as athletic director, according to a school press release He has a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Fullerton and a master’s in education from Azuza Pacific University.

“I look forward to growing all of our athletic programs and building on the relationships I’ve made since joining the school in 2009,” Hartigan said in a press release.

As for Lawn, according to a school statement, he left March 8, both as AD and baseball coach at JSerra to pursue full-time coaching opportunities.
