SJHHS Boys V-ball Team Rebounds

After being swept by Tesoro on Friday, the varsity boys come back to take Northwood handily.

The boys’ volleyball varsity team rebounded from their Friday-night loss to Tesoro High by beating Northwood High 3-1 (25-20,13-25, 25-22, 25-14) Tuesday.

The Stallions were led by sophomore Reed Wilson coming off the bench to record seven kills, two aces and 11 digs.

Another sophomore, Logan Zotovich, contributed nine kills and 23 assists, while senior Blake Thompson added eight kills.

The victory moves the Stallions overall record to 3-1 on the season. San Juan Hills faces Irvine High school in Irvine Thursday night and competes in the Foothill tournament this weekend.

Friday’s loss against Tesoro was brutal, with Tesoro sweeping San Juan 3-0 (25-21,25-15,25-18). Kill leaders for San Juan were Zotovich with eight and Ryan Schickling with seven. Reed Wilson led the team with six digs while Junior Parker Gentry set a school record with 23 assists.
