PHOTOS: Band Brings Soul to San Juan

Family Style played hits by Santana, Marvin Gaye and other great artists at Historic Town Center Park.

Family Style rocked the park for two hours on Wednesday evening for hundreds of folks enjoying picnics in .

People danced to tunes, such as "Everyday People" by Sly and the Family Stone. Kids played, San Juan Capistrano restaurants passed out samples and visitors got to experience the local business expo. The city of San Juan Capistrano sponsored the event.

Local resident Sandra Stephenson was enjoying the concert from the large stump of an old tree.

"I love these concerts," said Stephenson, "and this Family Style band is really good.

Dennis Flynn and Maria Galindo were on hand at the Rotary Club booth.

"It's important to be a part of your city and we want to recognize one of our Rotarians, , who is San Juan Rotary Club Man of the Year," Flynn said. "He's the emcee tonight, and we're here to honor him."

The city of San Juan Capistrano will be presenting two more free concerts this summer. Close Harmony will entertain Aug. 15 and Raining Horseshoes will perform Sept. 19. For more information, click here.
