High Levels of Bacteria at Baby Beach

Swimming and Labor Day go hand-in-hand, but be careful of where you dip your toes locally, says Orange County Health Care Agency.

It may be September, but not many leaves have fallen and it's still warm.

But before you head to the beach, especially, Baby Beach at Dana Point harbor, and the harbor patrol dock area, you might want to think of an alternative, says the Orange County Health Care Agency, Environmental Health.

According to ocbeachinfo.com, beach-goers should avoid contact with ocean and bay waters in these areas.

The OC Healthy Agency posted warning signs of high bacteria levels on Friday, after routine testing. While Baby Beach is still open, the agency warns of possible illness.

Other nearby swimming options include:

Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach

was also listed by the agency for high levels of bacteria, along wth other O.C. beaches.
