BLOG: What Will Rogers Would Have Said about the Swallows' Song

SWALLOW'S SONG

This is a sad story, folks. I saw a lone swallow the other day sittin’ on the Mission wall and although it’s kinda hard to tell for sure, I believe he was cryin’.

I did a little checkin’ on what made him so sad, and  I learned  this little swallow and I had a lot in common. 

Now when I came out to California to be in the movies I had two claims. One was I was the ugliest guy in them, and two was that I came out with the same wife I went in with.

As it turns out this little guy was the ugliest bird in the flock and no matter how hard he tried to find a mate he always struck out. He told me he was almost ready to try match.com but he didn’t weigh enough to push the keys on the keyboard.

But what he was cryin’ about was the . He was so excited to hear this female swallow calling him, and he did his best dives and loops, calling back all the while and never found her. He said he found this funny looking black thing way up on top that sounded like a girl swallow but sure didn’t look or act like one.

He was so discouraged he was just givin’ up on San Juan and was packin’ his bags and head back to Argentina.
