Get Ready for Another Full-Freeway Shutdown

Not only will the I-5 close at Ortega this weekend, street traffic won't be able to cross over the freeway.

The I-5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano will shut down in both directions Friday and Saturday.

Forcing traffic off the freeway will allow workers to complete grading activities to support the new Ortega Highway bridge, according to Caltrans. Here are the details:

Friday – Full closure of the northbound and southbound I-5 Freeway at Ortega Highway between 11:59 p.m. and 6 a.m.
