City Hall, a brown building west of downtown, is the headquarters for city services. It is home to the planning department, city manager, clerk and redevelopment agency. In City Council chambers, the City Council meets every first and third Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm for a closed session and at 6:30pm to make decisions before the public. The city's seven commissions (Cultural Heritage; Design Review; Housing Advisory; Planning; Transportation; Utilities; Parks and Recreation; and Open Space, Trails and Equestrian) also meet in the chambers. Agendas for these advisory bodies, as well as the City Council, are available in the clerk's office or online. City Hall is located in the City Hall Complex, where police services, a maintenance yard, public works and a groundwater recovery plant are also located.
