The El Adobe restaurant is located in what was originally a jail back in the day of early days of California. The wine cellar is actually one of the former cells. The restaurant was founded in 1948 and ever since it has been serving authentic Mexican fare. It's known as a Mexican steakhouse, where all of the meats are cooked in an outdoor fire pit. The menu also offers plenty of vegetable and salad selections for vegetarians. The wine list is filled with great California-region wines and the fully stocked bar offers cocktails, beers and sodas. The restaurant has a private dining room that seats up to 30 persons. It also has a special catering division where the fire pit is brought to special events.
