A nonprofit, nonpolitical organization, the Fiesta Association is led by a board of directors and is entirely self-funded through donations and various fundraising activities.
The Fiesta de Las Golondrinas is tied to the legendary return of the swallows to the Mission San Juan Capistrano on St. Joseph's Day, March 19th. The square-tailed cliff swallows spend the summer in San Juan Capistrano and leave in late October to travel 6000 miles for a winter in Goya, Argentina.
New members are always welcome to join the Fiesta Association with dues at just $30 for individuals or $50 for families. Members are the primary source of volunteers and critical to the success of events such as the Kids Pet Parade, Taste of San Juan, Hoos’Gow Day and other community-oriented events during the Fiesta de las Golondrinas season.
Monthly meetings are held on each Wednesday of the month beginning in January through March and on the second Wednesday of the month during the off season at the Nydegger Building located at 31421 la Matanza St, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
