It is a community that is rich with multicultural residents of Spanish, Mexican, Native American, European and Asian heritages. The essence of the organization is to gather and promote the town and to celebrate these cultures. The Rotary Club sponsors the city's annual 200-year-old celebration of when the swallow birds return to San Juan Capistrano. Membership is free and the group meets monthly to discuss events, dine and listen to guest speakers.

The Woman's Club of San Juan Capistrano was founded in 1921. Its members are composed of local citizens who are activeMore in the community and who support the advancement of women. The Club meets the third Tuesday of every month for fellowship, luncheon and the entertainment of a guest speaker.  The Club is also the sponsor of the annual Swallow's Day Parade and, in conjunction with the neighboring Rotary Club, it hosts the annual Swallow's Day Pancake Breakfast the morning of the parade. The facility, which has a large kitchen, stage, eating/meeting area, and parking lot, is also available for rent by non-guest members for weddings, anniversaries, meetings, and quinceañeras.
