It is a historic building that was given to the city by the LaCougue family and it is now the Senior Citizens Center where various events are held for this group of local citizens. They meet once a month and one of their most known events is hosting the 'Return of the Swallows', a culture and traditional event that marks the return of the swallow birds to the town's historic Mission Building. The venue also is the host to different fine art events such as concerts, art fairs and poetry readings.
