Letter to Editor: Deep-Six the Dinosaur
The Planning Commission was right to reject a bid to preserve the statue, says the Capistrano Historical Alliance Committee.
The Capistrano Historical Alliance Committee is extremely pleased with the to support and uphold city staff recommendations that the dinosaur is in direct violation of the Los Rios Specific Plan and the National Registry of Historic Places -- and compromises the historical integrity and makeup of Los Rios Street.
Based on our mission statement, we stand committed and would like to thank the commissioners for the opportunity to voice our concerns over ' disregard for policies and procedures set forth by the city of San Juan Capistrano.
We will continue to monitor the situation, remain viligant in our oppostion and are prepared to go before the City Council should Zoomars appeal the decision.
