Dia del Niño is on the Calendario

The sixth annual event will celebrate active kids and successful futures.

CREER, a local non-profit which focuses on education, community and culture for children and families, is presenting the sixth annual wonderful celebration of uniting children of all cultures in San Juan Capistrano.

It was announced today by CREER’s Board President and former Mayor, Joe Soto and Angeles Ceballos, CREER executive director, that the “6th Annual Dia del Niño” will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Stone Field in San Juan.

The event will feature games, prizes, health screenings, body mass index measurements and nutrition information, and face painting.

The event will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and will also include various community sponsored booths, bounce houses, mechanical bull riding, and petting zoo.

New to the event this year is Radio Disney who will be hosting games and activities, music, and prizes. The Dia del Niño stage will feature local dance and theatrics throughout the day, including CREER’s signature and outstanding program Corazones Alegres Ballet Folklorico along with the amazing Capistrano Community Mariachi group.

The event is FREE to children and their families. A variety of foods and beverages will be available for purchase and all proceeds will go to benefit CREER’s signature programs.
