Fiesta Members Rally Around One of Their Own

The Fiesta Association’s work is not done.

The organizers of all the swallows-related events – culminating in the Swallows Day Parade and Mercado – are now rallying around one of their own.

Hangin’ Judge Chris Phillips is battling cancer, according to The Capistrano Dispatch. Last week, there was a fundraiser at the Swallow’s Inn, where wife Carmen works. This week, a spaghetti dinner fundraiser is planned for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dana West Yacht Club.

The money will go to treatments, the Dispatch reported.

Because Wednesdays are usually the day for Fiesta Association members to gather, they’ll be taking this one off and slurping up some pasta, according to the weekly email.
