Saddleback Master Chorale, "The Golden Age of Baroque"

The focus of this year's program is "The Golden Age of Baroque," the seventeenth century, and the music of Purcell, Pachelbel, Corelli and Alessandro Scarlatti.  This is beautiful music by any standards, and we've found some lovely pieces to perform for you.  One of the most interesting is a modern choral setting of a section of Corelli's famous Christmas Concerto, which has some of the most spellbinding musical dissonances you'll ever hear from a classical composer - suspensions and resolutions which run on and on - it's amazing to sing, and - we hope - rewarding to hear.

Complimentary wine and cheese reception starts at 6:45; concert at 7:00 pm.
