TV's Epic COSMOS at the Regency Theater in San Juan Capistrano

"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."  So starts the 9th episode of the epic 13-part series of “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage” called "Lives of the Stars". Follow Dr. Sagan as he romps about the Cambridge University campus to illustrate a googol.  With innovative computer graphics, we see how stars are born, live, die and usually collapse to form neutron stars or black holes.  This will forever change the way you see the starry, starry night.

UCI Physics Professor Michael Dennin will continue the topic in his presentation on how the stars are the buidling blocks of this planet.  He recently won the Education-Portal.com’s OCW People’s Choice Awards for his outstanding work and can be seen on such well-known TV documentaries as Ancient Aliens, Batman Tech, Science of the Hunter, and the Science of Superman.  Join us for a fun, family-friendly evening.

FUTURE PRESENTERS:  Bill Nye "The Science Guy", UCI's James Bullock, and Garrett Lisi author of "An Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything".
