Chance of Thunderstorms Saturday and a Cold Storm Next Week

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Friday night through Sunday, and forecasters expect an unseasonably cold storm to move in mid next week.

Some dramatic shifts in weather forecast for the next week will make summer seem long gone.

It begins tonight with a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. “Unsettled” weather will continue into the weekend with a slight chance of rain through Sunday as moisture from Hurricane Hillary spreads into the region.

The Weather Service on Friday issued a hazardous weather statement for most of Southern California, including Orange County Coastal areas.
