Saturday's Forecast in San Juan Capistrano: Snow

But just for a few hours, so pencil in that snow fight and plan out your snowman. Corncob pipe or carrot nose or both?

It’s just not Christmas without snow, right? That’s what leaders at the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce were thinking when they decided to bring the cold stuff to town.

From 10:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Saturday at Historic Town Center Park, expect to see our usual crisp late-autumn landscape turn into a winter wonderland a la Big Bear or Park City or fill-in-your-favorite-snow-vacation-spot-here.

The event will include Santa (of course), free cocoa (!!), caroling, musical performances, interactive games, an ugly Christmas sweater contest, art fair vendors and more. You can even get free gift wrapping if you have a receipt to show you bought the items in San Juan Capistrano.
