What’s open and closed on Veterans Day in San Juan Capistrano? We’ve got the answer.

Today, we honor all of our military veterans who gave their service to protect our country and preserve our freedom.

Many private businesses will be open Monday for the Veterans Day holiday. CC&R will pick up trash according to its regular schedule.

But if you want to mail a letter, cash a check or use government services, you’ll have to wait a day.

What’s closed:

Schools, both the Capistrano Unified School District and private schools. Have a nice day off, kids (and do your homework).

City Hall. Offices will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Banks

The feds, including the post office.

Even Caltrans workers get the day off. There was no work done last night on the Ortega Highway interchange with the I-5 Freeway, and there will be no work tonight. Enjoy full late-night access!
