Congratulations to the MBS Academic Decathlon Team!

Last weekend, the Mission Basilica School Academic Decathlon Team competed against sixteen Diocesan schools at Santa Margarita High School.  The day began with the celebration of Mass at San Francisco de Solano Church.  The competitors then took part in the team logic competition after which team members took individual exams in their area of expertise.  Family, friends and well-wishers enjoyed a team lunch as the energy and excitement grew awaiting the popular Super Quiz Competition.  MBS displayed calmness under pressure that led them to a third place finish!  Allison Agbayani also earned a third place individual medal for English, Gabrielle Ortiz, a second place in Social Studies and Jack Troyan placed first overall in Fine Arts!  The closeness and unity of the team and support from the families was very evident throughout the day.  It was definitely a great day to be an MBS Swallow!
