Elks Distribute Drug Awareness and Americanism Materials
Members of Mission Viejo / Saddleback Valley Elks Lodge No. 2444 (“Elks Lodge”) handed out American flags and drug awareness and Americanism materials to the over 1,500 parents and youth that participated in Mission Viejo’s 25th Annual Walk against Drugs. A drug awareness quiz was also given to the youth who were entered into a drawing for five (5) gift certificates from the Big 5 Sporting Goods retailer. The event walk started at the Mission Viejo High School stadium and ended at the Village Green at Oso Viejo Park directly adjacent to the Norman P. Murray Community Center.
The Mission Viejo / Saddleback Elks Lodge No. 2444, celebrating forty-three (43) years of service to the Saddleback Valley communities, is one of ten lodges in the Orange Coast District of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) whose headquarters is in Chicago, Illinois. The BPOE is a charitable organization with a 145 year history of giving, “Elks Care, Elks Share.”
