Dangerous Lemonade Stand, Drunks and Thugs

Here are various reports pulled from the San Juan Capistrano police dispatch log.

At 5:13 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 30700 block of La Pata. A man was collecting and tossing cans at the equestrian polo fields. He was reportedly aggressive and refused to leave when asked. There was no report of an arrest.  

At 10:52 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Del Obispo and Camino Capistrano intersection. There was a man in his 60s walking and waving his arms sporadically in the middle of the street while carrying a large box of beer. 

At 11:43 p.m. Friday, police responded to a robbery in progress in the 31400 block of Los Rios street. A woman told police that her father-in-law was beaten up by four people who tried to steal his wallet. The Orange County Fire Authority also responded. The man sustained head injuries.

At 1:33 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Via Entrada and La Novia intersection. There were several teenage girls in bikinis selling lemonade. The caller was upset because the girls were jumping in the street and one was almost run over.

At 3:44 p.m. Thursday, a non-injury traffic accident occurred near the Highland Drive and Windsor Drive intersection. Five teenagers in a black SUV hit a fire hydrant. The report said no water came out of the hydrant.

At 11:27 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a traffic hazard in the first block of Palm Hill drive. A group of construction workers had dumped a large load of dirt in the street. The caller said no vehicles could get around the dirt pile. 

At 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a petty theft near the 31400 block of Windsong Drive. A car stereo was taken from the caller's vehicle.  

At 9:22 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 26700 block of Verdugo street. The conductor of an Amtrak train said there was a 17- to 20-year-old male riding the train with no ticket.

At 9:44 p.m. Tuesday, a caller made a vandalism report from the 32000 block of Pas Carolina. The caller said someone had thrown a rock and a foot-long stick into the caller's apartment window and broke it. Several minors were seen loitering across the street, and a dark SUV was seen driving away. It was unknown if these were related. 

At 4:44 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 56-year-old man in the 33600 block of Camino Capistrano. The man was passed out in the bushes of the Kia dealership. According to the report, it appeared the man was drunk.
