Passenger Tries to Stiff Cabbie, Pull a Fast One on Deputies

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, skateboarders up on a roof, crashing into a cars and a man allegedly violates the gang injunction.

At 9:43 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 18, a taxi driver near the Swallow’s Inn called to report a passenger was refusing to pay his bill. The passenger got on the phone and promised to stand by until deputies arrived. At 10:22 p.m., the taxi driver called 9-1-1 again. Deputies arrived to diffuse the situation.

At 5:28 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, someone reported a disturbance at Marco Forster Middle School. According to the caller, several teens on skateboards had gotten onto the roof.

At 5:53 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, deputies stopped a pedestrian and discovered he was in violation of the gang injunction. The 18-year-old man was arrested and has since been released.

At 1:01 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, a caller reported a disturbance near the intersection of Via Banderas and Calle Conejo. The caller said some teenagers were riding their skateboards down the street and crashing into parked cars.
