San Juan Toddler Found in Bathtub Dies

The boy was one in a set of triplets being babysat last week when he escaped his crib during naptime.

A 2-year-old San Juan Capistrano boy found last week unresponsive in a bathtub of water has died.

Jaxon Jaworski was 1 year and 11 months when he died Wednesday, May 24, said Jim Amormino, spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The boy, , and his brother had escaped their crib during naptime, according to Orange County Sheriff’s officials.

The babysitter, in her 20s, found one triplet in the hallway, and the other in the bathtub.

“It appears to be a tragic accident. We don’t know if he was able to turn [the water] on or not,” Amormino said.

The toddler lived in the Rancho Madrina tract.
