Seeming Accident Victim Gets Arrested

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a wood chipper keeps residents awake, deputies discover a driver in need of medical help, and a thief is quicker than a hummingbird.

At 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 30, deputies stopped a vehicle near the cross streets of Rancho Viejo Road and Spotted Bull Lane. The driver of the vehicle had been involved in a car accident. Deputies arrested the 49-year-old woman, whose bond has since been posted.

At 10:09 p.m. Saturday Nov. 30, someone reported a mechanical disturbance near the cross streets of San Juan Creek Road and Camino Chico. The caller said a loud wood chipper near an intersection was disturbing residents.

At 12:01 a.m. Monday Dec. 1, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle near the cross streets of San Juan Creek Road and Camino Lacouague. Deputies arrived to investigate the situation and discovered the driver of the vehicle needed medical assistance.

At 4:41 p.m. Monday Dec. 1, someone called the sheriff’s office to report a petty theft in the 26700 block of Verdugo Street. The informant claimed a thief had stolen objects from the Hummingbird House 15 minutes prior to the call.
