Valle Road Traffic Light Continues to Perturb

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a found backpack, a drunk man on a golf course, and a series of annoying phone calls.

At 8 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 13, a caller phoned the sheriff’s office to report a traffic hazard near the cross streets of Valle Road and San Juan Creek Road. The caller explained the traffic light was having issues cycling through signals, causing a traffic backup all the way to La Novia. A similar problem was reported the week before.

At 3:46 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 12, someone reportedly found property in the 32500 block of Paseo Adelanto. The caller claimed she found an unattended backpack near a local school.

At 4:27 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 12, a caller told deputies about a trespasser in the 32100 block of San Juan Creek Road. The informant stated a drunk man had wandered onto the San Juan Hills golf course.

At 11:45 a.m. Thursday Nov. 14, deputies received a report of annoying phone calls in the 33900 block of Doheny Park Road. An employee of Monaco Jewelers claimed someone was harassing the store via telephone.

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.
