Newly appointed Mayor Larry Kramer will hold regular business hours to meet the public and discuss issues and concerns.

Mayor Larry Kramer is flipping on the neon open sign.

Starting at the first of the year, he will hold regular office hours where the public is invited to sit down with him one-on-one for half-hour sessions, the city announced today.

"Not everyone can make it to the [City Council] meetings," Kramer said today. "I'm just loking at being more accessible to the citizens of San Juan Capistrano and to listen to their concerns."

Kramer, who was , will offer the hours between 2 and 5:40 p.m. every Wednesday at . The “grand opening” is Jan. 4.

"I won't be doing much in the way of making decisions. I just want to listen," he said.
