It took 161 years, but San Juan Elementary finally has air conditioning in all of its classrooms.
The school sent out an email Thursday announcing the arrival of new air conditioning/heating units for the classrooms that front Spring Street. The rooms house the kindergarten students.
“Our school now has air conditioning in every room and our students can focus on learning during both hot and cold days,” the email said.
San Juan Elementary is the oldest school in Orange County. It features the Two-Way dual-immersion program that teaches students to become literate in both English and Spanish.
