Saddleback Valley Christian Wins Its Fifth Road Game in a Row

Senior Josh Markum scores game-high 27 points to lead Warriors to a 44-40 victory over host Orangewood Academy in a San Joaquin League boys basketball game.

Saddleback Valley Christian's boys basketball team held off Orangewood Academy, 44-40, in a San Joaquin League game Saturday night at Orangewood.  

Josh Markum led all scorers with 27 points, including five of six free throws in the fourth quarter. Senior guard Michael Hamada also hit two big free throws in the last minute to help put the game out of reach.

The Warriors (18-4, 6-0 in league), who have won five consecutive games on the road, return home Tuesday to host Tarbut V'Torah at 6 p.m.
