Saddleback Valley Hands Eagles Their First Loss of Season

This is the San Juan Capistrano high school football round-up.

The Capistrano Valley Christian Schools football team suffered its first lost Friday, at the hands of a cross-town rival.

The Eagles, now 6-1, faced off against the Warriors of Saddleback Valley Christian Schools, now 3-4, in a game that ended up being a blowout, according to MaxPreps.

Saddleback was up 28-7 by halftime. Final score 49-14, according to MaxPreps.

The game came one week after the Eagles handed their own beating to Animo Leadership in another San Joaquin League Game, 49-14, according to the school's newsletter.

In other private school action, JSerra lost to St. John Bosco 44-41 after making up a 24-point deficit and going into overtime.

And St. Margaret's had a routing of its own, 77-0 against Firebaugh. The team scored six first-half touchdowns alone, according to OC Varsity.

San Juan Hills High, which had its five-game winning streak snapped by Laguna Hills High last week, had an open week this week.
