Stallions Football Team Goes 3-0

A win over Artesia High Friday puts them ahead 3-0 on the season. Last year, they didn't win a game.

San Juan Hills High is having its best start to the football season ever, putting a third consecutive game into the win category.

The Stallions were on the road last week and played Artesia High. According to the Long Beach Press Telegram, the school is SJH Coach Aaron Flowers' alma mater.

Leading the Stallions to a 38-13 victory was bittersweet, Flowers told the Long Beach paper.

"I'm glad we won the game, but you would like to have not beat your alma mater. But I also know that's what I was getting into," he told the PT. "I'm just glad our team played hard and played well."

Last year, the team went the whole season without a victory. So far this year, the boys have not lost a game.
