Ortega Construction: Closure Schedule for Dec. 16-21

Work continues at the Ortega interchange with the I-5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano, even if the full-freeway closure we’ve talked about in two articles is temporarily on hold. 

The next major activity to take place on the south half of the bridge will be grading operations, according to Caltrans.

Here’s the closure schedule for this week.

Ramp Closures:

Northbound I-5 off-ramp to Ortega Highway closed nightly between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. tonight Thursday

Northbound I-5 onramp from Ortega Highway closed nightly, between 11:59 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday

Southbound I-5 off-ramp to Ortega Highway closed nightly 19 between 11 p.m .and 5 a.m. tonight through Thursday

Southbound I-5 onramp from Ortega Highway closed nightly between 11:59 p.m and 5 a.m. tonight through Thursday

Lane Closures:

Northbound I-5 Freeway between Camino Capistrano and Junipero Serra Road, lane closures nightly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. tonight through Thursday

Southbound I-5 Freeway between Junipero Serra Road and Camino Capistrano, lane closures nightly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. tonight through Thursday,

Eastbound Ortega Highway between Del Obispo Street and Rancho Viejo Road, lane closures nightly between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. tonight through Thursday

Westbound Ortega Highway between Rancho Viejo Road and Del Obispo Street, lane closures nightly between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. tonight through Thursday
