Don some rubber gloves, grab a bag and help remove trash and debris from local creeks Sept. 17.
The event, part of a statewide cleanup of beaches and inland waterways, is from 8 a.m. to noon at Los Rios Park, 31790 Paseo Adelanto. Last year's creek cleanup attracted nearly 300 volunteers.
Volunteers, who are encouraged to register early, will receive a free T-shirt and barbecue lunch after the event compliments of the San Juan Capistrano Rotary Club.
The creek cleanup starts at 9 a.m., with onsite registration starting an hour earlier.
