A Fashion Show, Knitting Fashions and Thanksgiving Closures

Woo-hoo! That shout is from all the school children who don’t have class this week, including the Capistrano Unified School District, JSerra Catholic High School, Mission Basilica, Saddleback Valley Christian Schools and Capistrano Valley Christian. Students from St. Margaret’s will join the happy chorus on Wednesday.

2. How fashionable: The Camino Health Center Auxiliary will hold its 29th annual Fashion Show and Luncheon from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel to raise funds to support Camino Health Center. Camino Health Center is a fully licensed, community-based clinic in San Juan Capistrano serving the healthcare needs of the medically uninsured and underserved. 3. Intellectual craftiness: KnitLit, the Knitting Book Group, at the San Juan Capistrano Library meets the last Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. Bring your knitting or other project and join a lively discussion of our latest book, Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson. 4. Need last-minute veggies for Thanksgiving? The weekly Farmer’s Market is good timing. It’s held from 3–7 p.m. every Wednesday at El Camino Real and Yorba in San Juan Capistrano..

5. Thanksgiving closures: City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday because of the holiday.
